Planning Where To Put Your Hot Tub
There are a few things you will need to consider before we deliver your hot tub.
1. Where you live:
a) If you live somewhere with a temperate-hot climate (eg south coast) then you might need to think about shade for your hot tub – either man made or natural.
b) If you live in a cooler climate (eg North of England and Scotland), it might be prudent to consider placing your hot tub near a changing area and perhaps having a gazebo would provide some shelter from the elements.
2. Privacy
Concerning privacy, you may want to think about the positioning of the hot tub for all seasons. What might be a very private area during the summer could be very exposed when the trees are bare in the winter.
3. Keeping the water clean
Check the positioning of trees and gutters so that leaves and debris will not be blown into your spa. In addition, it would be useful to have a path leading to your hot tub so that leaves and earth will not be carried in by the bathers’ feet when getting in.
4. Indoors
If you have decided to place the hot tub inside, then the room will need to be well ventilated. Hot tubs give off a large amount of moisture when working which could damage walls and ceilings over time unless they are protected. Remember that hot tubs should be drained every 6 to 8 weeks so ease of drainage will need to be a consideration.
5. Allow access to service compartment
Our service engineers may need to have access to the equipment inside the spa. Therefore you need to plan the position of the spa to allow easy access (we recommend leaving a space of 24 inches or 60cm). If this is not possible then it should be in a place where it can be easily moved when drained.
